Hi.

Welcome to My Roaring Forties. I document what I’m thinking about, what I’ve learnt and what I’m trying to achieve

Week 17: A Semi-Realised Plan

Week 17: A Semi-Realised Plan

Another excellent week and pleasingly, all the important metrics (VO2max, Fitness) have made a little movement up on the graph!

  • Total Relative Effort for the week: 219

  • Total Distance for the week: 40.2

  • Total Time for the week: 4hr55min

Two sessions went by the wayside this week - a swim and a run so the goal for next week is for 100% completion. The one swim I did do on Saturday I did in a 50m pool which is the first swim in a pool that length for a few years and I enjoyed it much more that I expected! So I’m going to repeat that this week and focus on doing a really good bike session on Tuesday which is intervals. I’m working on the theory that if I nail the first two sessions of the week, then I really set myself up for a successful 100% for the week.

Quote of the Week

Most of life is routine - dull and grubby, but routine is the momentum that keeps a man going. If you wait for inspiration you'll be standing on the corner after the parade is a mile down the street.
