Hi.

Welcome to My Roaring Forties. I document what I’m thinking about, what I’ve learnt and what I’m trying to achieve

Week 16: An Adjusted Plan

Week 16: An Adjusted Plan

A cracker of a week!! It helped that we were on holiday so plenty of time to do all the scheduled sessions without stressing about the schedule!

  • Total Relative Effort for the week: 196

  • Total Distance for the week: 38.5

  • Total Time for the week: 4hr22min

Two highlights for the week: the biking and the walking.

I took the bike off the windtrainer and got out on the road again and it was so good to get out and get some confidence back. It helped that I made sure to ride early in the morning so much less traffic to worry about.

The other highlight is that for 3 or 4 weeks, I’ve been doing alot more walking and really focusing on getting over 10000 steps a day and for some reason, this week I started to notice that this is having a really positive impact on my fitness. As is so often the case, this becomes a self fulfilling prophecy of a little noticeable progress generates a desire to do more which drive more progress. So some positive momentum heading into a short week back at work gives me hope that we just might have a ini fitness breakthrough occurring!
