Hi.

Welcome to My Roaring Forties. I document what I’m thinking about, what I’ve learnt and what I’m trying to achieve

Week 31: A Kick Start for October

Week 31: A Kick Start for October

So this week marks the start of some PROPER training because I’ve signed up for the Melbourne half marathon which is a mere 8 weeks away! To celebrate that, I’ve done half the training I was supposed to BUT all of the runs including the longest run I’ve done in a very long time.

  • Total Relative Effort for the week: 141

  • Total Distance for the week: 11.17

  • Total Time for the week: 1hr51min

The goal this week is the same as the last blog entry: nail the first two sessions of the week, which is working on the premise that doing so will set myself up for a successful 100% for the week.

My dear,

In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm. I realized, through it all, that…

In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.

Truly yours

Albert Camus
